Searching for a record is easy. In Tree Mode, you can group records by:
You can choose to show only open records, closed records, or open and closed records.
In Find Mode, you can query records by title or text string. A reference such as an audit or change order number can be used to group like records to facilitate finding those records later. A text string can also be used to locate a record.
For instance, you need to recall the process instruction for assembling Widget E. Type Widget E into the Text String field and select the text field labels most likely to contain the text. The search results will produce a record list of exact matches.
The third search type is Jump to Record. Use this feature when you already know the title description or ID number of the record. The database will jump directly to that record.

Report Filters are available to zoom in on only the records you wish to see.
The Grouping and Sorting function helps you to organize the data presented in your report.

How are work reminders used?
Where are the records stored? Work Reminders and Work Instructions are stored within the database. However, some records are better stored and viewed in formats such as flow charts or presentations. These files are stored on your local server and link is used to open the file. Note that some search mode functionality does not apply when an external file is used.
How does the database remind me that a specific task is due to be performed?
Put your work reminders, simple instructions and flow charts in one place to enhance your manufacturing, servicing and quality processes. Ensure that these reminders are easy to find and accessible by personnel.
A work reminder can be as simple as how to prepare for assembling a widget, or as complex as a series of steps needed to test the widget, including a troubleshooting chart.
Work reminders are becoming more popular now that the ISO standards are more tolerant of live documents. as live documents, they can change when you need them to – and since they are live, they usually do not need to go through the change control process.
Some companies have different types of work reminders, those under change control and those that are live documents. Live documents by definition are always live, always updated and available to edit and update by those people who use them. Work reminders under change control are static and controlled documents that require a change control process to make edits and updates. These changes are reviewed and approved before the work reminder can be used in production. Static reminders and work procedures or methods are basically controlled the same way. It just depends on how much control is needed in your process.
